The European rink hockey season is reaching its peak. After the high-intensity matches played on January 31st, the Women’s Champions League enters a strategic break before the action resumes on February 14th. Meanwhile, the Men’s competition and the WSE Cup are gearing up for immediate, season-defining showdowns.

WSE Champions League Women: Doing the Math

Following the matchday on 31/01, the group stage landscape presents a mix of certainties and open battles. The competition will return to the rink on February 14th for a round that could be final for many.

Group A: Telecable Dominance

Telecable HC (12 pts) – QUALIFIED: With a perfect record after their 31/01 victory, the Asturian side has already secured its spot in the Final Four.
CP Vila-sana (9 pts): Almost there. They only need 1 point from their remaining two games, or for Cerdanyola to drop points.
Cerdanyola CH (3 pts): Forced to win both remaining matches while hoping Vila-sana fails to pick up a single point.
Hockey Trissino (0 pts) – ELIMINATED: Mathematically out of contention following the last round.

Group B: The “Group of Death” Remains Open

SL Benfica (10 pts): On the verge. A draw on 14/02 against Fraga would mathematically seal their qualification.
CP Esneca Fraga (6 pts): Following their vital win last weekend, they have their destiny in their own hands.
Martinelia Manlleu (4 pts): Still alive, but they must win their remaining games and hope for a Fraga slip-up.
Generali HC Palau (1 pt): The situation is critical but mathematically possible. They need to win both games (reaching 7 pts) and rely on a specific combination of results from Fraga and Manlleu.

WSE Champions League Men: Matchday 6 (Tomorrow, 05/02)

Tomorrow, Thursday, the premier men’s competition offers no respite with direct battles for the top spots:

Barça vs. FC Porto (20:30 CET): The ultimate European “Clásico” at the Palau Blaugrana for the leadership of Group A.
Sporting CP vs. UD Oliveirense (18:30 WET): A clash of Portuguese titans for control of Group B.

La temporada de hockey sobre patines europeo llega a su punto de ebullición. Tras la intensa actividad del pasado 31 de enero, la Champions femenina entra en un receso estratégico hasta el 14 de febrero, mientras que la rama masculina y la WSE Cup se preparan para definiciones inmediatas.

WSE Champions League Women: Calculadora en mano

Luego de la jornada disputada el pasado sábado 31/01, el panorama de la fase de grupos nos deja certezas y batallas abiertas. La competición volverá a rodar la bocha el próximo 14 de febrero con una fecha que puede ser definitiva.

Grupo A: El dominio del Telecable

Telecable HC (12 pts) – CLASIFICADO: Con puntaje perfecto tras su victoria el 31/01, las asturianas ya tienen su lugar asegurado en el Final Four.
CP Vila-sana (9 pts): Casi adentro. Necesita solo 1 punto en las dos fechas restantes o que el Cerdanyola no gane todo.
Cerdanyola CH (3 pts): Obligado a ganar sus dos compromisos restantes y esperar que Vila-sana no sume.
Hockey Trissino (0 pts) – ELIMINADO: Sin opciones matemáticas tras la última jornada.

Grupo B: El “Grupo de la Muerte” no da tregua

SL Benfica (10 pts): A un paso. Un empate el 14/02 ante el Fraga les daría la clasificación matemática.
CP Esneca Fraga (6 pts): Tras su triunfo vital el pasado fin de semana, dependen de sí mismas.
Martinelia Manlleu (4 pts): Sigue con vida, pero necesita ganar lo que queda y esperar un tropiezo del Fraga.
Generali HC Palau (1 pt): El escenario es crítico pero matemáticamente posible. Necesitan ganar sus dos partidos (llegando a 7 pts) y esperar una combinación de resultados que frene al Fraga y al Manlleu.

WSE Champions League Men: Jornada 6 (Mañana, 05/02)

Mañana jueves, la máxima competición masculina no da respiro con duelos directos por el liderato:

Barça vs. FC Porto (20:30 CET): El gran clásico europeo en el Palau Blaugrana por la cima del Grupo A.
Sporting CP vs. UD Oliveirense (18:30 WET): Choque de titanes portugueses por el mando del Grupo B.
HC Liceo vs. SL Benfica (20:30 CET): Los coruñeses reciben al invicto Benfica con la obligación de sumar ante su gente.

La paridad es absoluta tras los resultados de la ida del 24/01. Este sábado se definen los semifinalistas con ventajas mínimas:

HC Braga vs. CP Calafell (18:00 WET): Tras el 1-0 de la ida a favor de Calafell, la serie está totalmente abierta en Portugal.
Juventude Pacense vs. CH Caldes (17:30 WET): Caldes defenderá en tierras lusas la mínima ventaja conseguida en casa (6-5).
Pons Lleida vs. AD Sanjoanense (20:30 CET): El Lleida llega con una renta valiosa tras el 2-4 conseguido en Portugal, lo que obliga a la Sanjoanense a buscar una remontada épica en territorio español
